This doesnt seem to follow the AMD configuration for ID'ing a CPU - I assume it says copyright AMD 1999 on the 4th line otherwise it is not an AMD chip!

how big is the die?...and how big is the chip?
intels are much smaller than amd's

Oh it's an AMD forsure... it's got the logo... I guess I should have also said that it's not a CPU chip... hehe... it's a chip that is in my hub the size is about 1 1/2 x 1 1/2

Yes you should have said it wasnt a CPU chip - especially when you posted in an AMD cpu forum! Its not flash memory is it? Also are you sure it is not AM29 instead of AM79 at start?
