What M/B to buy

I have a couple questions if anyone can help, first, I'm looking for a new motherboard and am curious about which ones you suggest. I have an 1Ghz T/bird and want to overclock it have been looking at the Epox 8KHA+ and the 8K3A+. Also maybe an asus or iwill?? Epox is easy to get im just wondering about CPU voltage adjustment do any boards come set up to go above 2 volts or do you have to modify them all. I'm not too worried about doing the mod but if I can buy a board already set up I'd be leaning toward just buying it even if its a few bucks more. One other question is I see these boards are usually set up for RAID, if the board has this can you use the board but not the raid stuff, I only have 1 HD and dont need mega storage.

I'd say the best board to get would be the 8kha+ as its very overclockable and people get the fsb very high. I know the 8k3a+ is kt333 but I'm not sure how well it overclocks and and also performance gains with the kt333 over kt266a are minimal. I don't think any boards will let you set the voltage over 2 but I could be wrong, you'll probably have to do the mod. You don't have to use the raid. I'd go with 8kha+. Good Luck

i agress the 8kha+ would be a great board anyways if your looking to save money while still getting performace.

there is a shuttle board that the volt can be set above 2 v but i don't remember the model it was someting like AKR35 i might be wrong.

Thanks guys, actually I was on OC WORKBENCH and they had a review of the 8K3A and it will go to 2.20V and over 3V for the ram but I'm still looking around.

The AK35GTR has the option to increase the vcore up to 2.3. Always helpful when trying for that extra MHZ.
