well ?
i read a review on Gamepc.com of the A7N8X and the benched it with the 1.13 Win XP drivers,
on the Asus website, the newest ones are 1.12 (1.13 for Win2000)
anywaythe NForce drivers on NVidia.com are no good, as they do not support audio for the Asus and Chaintech (why?)
what do you guys think ?

Are you sure the nforce drivers don't support the audio, I was told that even though the asus has a realtek digital to analog converter it would all be covered with the unified drivers

you are not understanding.
the drivers from Asus, com are 1.12 and they support the sound.
but the most up to date drivers from nvidia.com are 2.0 and do not support the sound.
so i don't know if.
if yo go to nvidia.com .
selected download drivers,
then unified NForce. you will see.
it clearly says, this driver does not support the sound on Asus and Chaintech, please use manufacturers drivers for sound.
does this mean install both, or just the manufacturers ?
thanks

hey perhaps you should drop a line to asus tech support, and ask them to give you just the sound drivers maybe they will reply and you will be lucky? :eh?:
