Not an O/C'er..yet,and I'm wondering which mobo I should buy.
Ones that I really like(due mostly to looks, lol)
MSI K7T TURBO LIMITED
ABIT KT7E
Ones that I like
MSI K7 MASTER266
ABIT KT7a

I dont know much about what I should be looking for..All I know for sure is that I'll be buying a(cheap)duron in the 600-850MHz range, and 128mb of ram in whatever(PC133,DDR)
Ant suggestion,and/or guidence(past/present experiences and the sort)will be greatly appreciated.

When looking at other post, its mentioned to go to www.egghead.com
Went there, looked around saw what I liked.Went to make an account and noticed that choosing a "country" is optional, but one must choose a "state"?
I'm Canadian(also it sez that I cant use my "international" CC),ARGHH!!

To the canucks here O/C'ers(if there are any..),where do you send your business? What type of delivery does you choose(FedEx,XpressPost,USPS)

How much you lookin to spend? My next board will be a ASUS A7V266. Check out the review at HardOCP. DDR Ram is where you want to go! SDRAM is out due to lack of BUS Speed. Next generation of Boards will all be DDR. So you want the old or the new? I have an Abit KT7a its a flyer! Thank God I got one that worked. If your looking to spend about $300 on a Mobo and Proc. go with a SDRAM board. If your lookin for the future of overclocking and speed, cost be damned ASUS A7V266 and PC2100 DDR Ram. Just make sure you get a darn good PSU at least 350 Watt!

I have K6/2 350 right with PC100 ram...so any thing would be an improvment

I have my heart set on the MSI K7T TURBO LIMITED ,but giving more thought to the DDR(I'll be using this 'puter for the next "few" years, thinking about resell value)has "sort'ta" convinced me to go with either a hybrid(PC133/DDR,I save by using the ram I already have),or "full-blowen" DDR(too much of a toll on ye'ole pocketbook right now....at this moment).

Narrowed it down to;
MSI K7T TURBO LIMITED (sdr)
ASUS A7V266(sdr/ddr)
FIC AD11 (ddr)

I'm either going with the K7T turbo limited or,taking your advice/plan of action,go with the A7V266.
Is there any apparent problems(to you "informed" people)that I should know?With things like conflicts,chipsets,or ? I'll confess and say I'm one "uninformed-wanna-be"
so try to bare with me when "if"(i dunno when I do ) ask dumb questions.

Hey, I'm even in worse condition. I have Pentium 166~210 and i'm gonna buy new machine. Something like duron 800-900 or t-bird 900, 128DDR RAM, 20GB HDD IBM Telesto, Abit Silluro T400 w/TV out and I'm gonna buy DFI Ak-76SN. It's about $105 with 4 fan headers and it looks like a good suggestion to me.

dude's,get the most you can for your money.the most pci slots, the most fan headers, the fastest chipset, the most ide channels.
of coarse if you want to keep it for very long, get the hybrids.getting softmenue will be a plus as well.
take your time and read specs,it's a tough decision right now and t-birds are real cheap.
when you make your decision never look back.be secure in the knowledge you did the best you could at the time.happy oc'ing!
