For myself, I don't consider an overclock to be successful unless I LOWER my CPU temperature below where it was at it's normal setting.
This is written in the beginners guide. I am a beginner, but as far as I know, heat is the enemy of a cpu, for every 10 degrees, the lifetime halves. Why would some-one not be cooling their chip as effectively as poss from the start? It seems a bit obvious to do so. Are the guys writing these guides actually that good? Or is this just a failed attempt at a brag?
