What sounds cards are DX 8 compliant?

I was reading the Morrowind readme and it says that the random crashing during the game has been narrowed down to sound cards. Any sound card that is NOT DX 8 compliant may cause the game to crash back to desktop or freeze. So that got me thinking, which sound cards are DX8 compliant? Is the Live or Audigy DX 8 compliant? According to the readme, any card based on a Crystal, ESS or Ciruss Logic chip is NOT compliant...that included the Hercules cards, (Fortismo etc).

i'd say go with a creative live, or audigy1 or 2. they have pretty much the best compatibility, as they're the most widely used.
