Hi all

Ok I have the same dilemma as a lot of post I have been reading about ddr mob, here is the situation, Me and my fiance just recently did a website for a local computer store, and instead of cash we worked out a deal in computer parts in trade, So what we are getting is a 19 inch Sony trinitron monitor,
1.2gig axia 266 T bird and choice of Mob, What I was thinking was the A7A266 with pc2100 memory, But now im not sure with all the reviews I have been reading on ddr, Question is do I go with ddr board or should I go with a A7V133 as for an upgrade for her computer?
Thanks for any help to this dilemma

Well if your asking which would be faster, I would say the DDR, I personally out of a choice of those two boards, would go with the A7V133, because it has multiplier adjustment capability and I would want to overclock my CPU. If your not gonna overclock though, I'd say go with the DDR board, although the DDR board might still allow FSB overclocking, I dunno.

Oh and your gonna LOVE that Sony monitor, I got myself a sony 19 inch monitor myself (E400 I think it is) and that thing has awesome picture quality and the brightness is great! :)

Yeah the monitor im getting is sweet, And also A7A266 is the new
revision that has the 10 dip switches on it so you can overclock the multiplier
im thinking I should go with that board, just not sure yet with what I have been reading on ddr boards

I would recomend the A7A266, get the newer version with 10 dip switches and you can overclock, and even if u get the older one with only 4, there is an easy mod to allow you to adjust the multiplyer. It is extreamly easy to set up and extreamly easy to overclock as far as I've heard, and I'm probably ordering one withen a week myself. As for where to get the memory, if your not getting it threw the computer store, www.crucial.com has great prices for pc2100 DDR, and people say they are overclocking very well.
