what to do to get faster FPS from 9800 pro?

SO IM A NOOB!! LOL !!!I did allot of tweaking with my 9800 pro but i cant get more than 50 fps out of it that my geforce 4400.It is overclocked now 425/701.Im using Rage 3D tweak v3.8. any other good tweaking utilities out there for this 9800 pro ? Or advice on how to tweak it right . all i ever hade was a geforce 4400 128 mb card only been playing for about 1.5 years now. P.S. i play sof2 mostly!

thanksill take any advice

????

I dont mean to be rude and this by no means is a flame but 50 fps? Then you say there is no reason to tweak at 50?
My first question is have you checked to see if the game has a fps lock on it and have you unlocked it. With a game like sof2 and almost any radeon these days much less a 9700 pro it should be much higher...at least I think so. I haven't had 50 fps in any game since my voodoo and that was no overclock.
My second question is what setting are you running? 1600 x 1600 :) Try turning your settings down a little and it should help if fps is that important to you.
Just my two cents.....

Just to clarify, I think he's saying he's getting 50 MORE fps than his Geforce4Ti4400, which is probably about right.

I would suggest playing w/ all the eye candy on, things like 4xfsaa FSAA and 8AF, and watch the fps on the R9800PRO hold up, while they will absolutley plummet on the Ti4400.

I'm sure the Ti4400 gave very playable fps in most games when no FSAA or AF is used. That's kind of the whole reason to upgrade, to keep great fps while enjopying hihger resolutions, af, and fsaa.

So 50 FPS more then what? If your gettin over 80 fps why would want more? Its not going to make the quality go up. At that point its just a number.

Than his previous 4400. I agree with what everyone else has said; turn up the AA/Aniso and enjoy. I played SOF2 as well and at 1280x1024, 4x AA and 16x Aniso with all details maxed out, gameplay was still super-smooth. I think it's also got to do with my FSB being nice and high :) That'll help improve memory bandwidth so you might wanna give it a whirl.
