What to do, what to do

OK, here's the situation. Antec Smartfan 92mm i KNOW where the smartfan temp monitor is, so it can adjust the speed of the fan......is there a way to bypass it all (the temp sensor) to get the speed of the fan @ a higher rpm.... more cfm? I was thinkin of cuttin off the little knob which i think is the temp monitor.. is it? and what should i do

Just short it...bypass it...if you remove it you may have to re-make the connection...depends on its operation...

increasing heat - decreasing resistance
remove it & connect leads together

or is it

increasing heat - increasing resistance
Remove it & leave circuit open

Hey, thanks a bunch for the advise... even tho i couldnt wait any longer, i did it anyway, but now that i know that its ok, i feel safer lol

So shorting that piece makes it run at full speed, is that correct?

yeah, i did it and the fan used to run @ 1200 rpm, now its @ 2560 rpm
