What water aditives do you use? I currently use dis. water, but i wanted to know what other people used, and this is so much more interesting than searching. Everybody post what you use AND your temps.

bacteteria

Is there any problem with germs growing in the water after time. I am setting up a water cooling system this summer.

unless its a typo, I wouldn't worry about temps of 20*C

Water wetter, purple ice, Zerex etc do prevent this. Personnaly I just add a little windshield washer. Just a bit. Gets my water blue and nothing will grow there.

I use a 10% mixture of Sierra brand antifreeze and water from my reverse osmosis system. Sierra brand antifreeze is polypropylene glycol based, so it is safer around pets and children if it gets spilled.

Yea and also performs terribly compared to the 'real' stuff. I dont see how it being environmentally friendly is worth anything. Unless you've got little kids in the house with mental disabilities who are going to take apart the lines and drink the coolaid inside.

distilled water and watter wetter. temps are 31c mb and 46c diode. water wetter cost me 11.99 for a big bottle at a local automotive store. Didn't help the temps, but has helped with the funk growing.

I used nothing my first time out. Beleive me, after about a month the tubes are full of crud....

Use something, anything!
