And have my mother hid it and loose it? :p
Not a chance.

Lost my Wii, PS2 and for a while there, my 3DS, GBA, DS Lite.....
Still can't find my Wii or PS2
Over 80+ hours and 100% Complete Metroid Prime 1 & 2......

PS4 would be nice yes, but I'm not sure if you can record the screen directly ?

There are cheap screen capture devices that you run an HDMI passthrough to that do screen cap for console gaming. They're quite good quality. That's how people get decent console footage for youtube.

You can do a lot on a modern console. It's a console, and an "Apple TV" of sorts all in one.

like suggested could go the route of am1.

could use onboard for a while or at least try it to see how it works out. 69+39+44=$152ca kinda hard to beat imo.

*edit*
or one of these combo kits they have running at newegg.

this one below might be better price wise, then add a new case (seems like you need one)+PSU

this psu

this case

case looked mean and the price is right imo. this combo though puts you just a hair over [email protected] then add shipping. i dont think you can go wrong with this setup.

 Forgot to mention, PSU is covered. 500 watt EVGA. Not even 2 months old :)

Thanks for the suggestions Evilsizer & OCnoob.

AM1 is probably the route I will go. Cheaper than Intel and gets the job done all the same.

Yeah. Not a performance powerhouse by any means, but it should be enough for minecraft and is definitely cheap.

It'll be enough until he gets more cash, and I build him an i5 gaming rig. :)

Besides, I'll just use this (the one I'm going to build) rig as a mining rig when he gets a better gaming rig :D

Hey guys, an update:

Hehe, found all the funds we need. Mom has agreed to allow me to buy a combo off newegg, and my bro payers here back every month

that said, this is the only combo evilsizer linked to is left :(

I know Intel, but since this is pretty much limited to AMD (Under $200 guys plz) I need help looking for more combo kits on newegg.

Just looking for mobo + RAM + CPU. Preferably a mobo with IDE support, if not I'll pick up a cheap SATA drive from egg too.
Lay it on me, show me what AMD can do! :p (Bit of an Intel fanboy here :p )

Anbd of course, Thanks guys! You guys rock!!

ok so i did some poking around, not many amd combos. though i found this one that will fit in your $$ with ram. still might go a bit over with the case, hurry before this one disappears!

you will have some room to upgrade it later to a quad core and add more ram.

just noticed if it makes a difference, a $20cad mir on the asrock board. total price is $213 without shipping..

Sweet
Case is no issue, I still have my Gateway case that came with my old sig rig, so any new mobo would fit :)

I might go with that combo today .
Now for RAM...... I was thinking, maybe buy a new set of RAM for my sig rig, 8Gb would be nice, but I also want dual channel if that's even possible.

Then I can give my RAM to my brother.
Hehe I get new RAM, he gets new rig :p

Any ideas on what's good and cheap for my sig rig? Or should I make a new thread?

Pulled the trigger on that CPU+Mobo combo.

All together, $244 shipped to my door.
I also bought myself some G.Skill Ripjaws. 2x4Gb Cas9 1600Mhz

My brother will be getting my current set of RAM.
And since he has 2 slots, he'll be getting my Samsung RAM, 2x2Gb for 4Gb of Dual channel

Thanks for the advice guys!
I'll post when it all gets here.

Arrived today, check out the what did you get today? thread for some pics (cuz I'm lazy xD)

Installing Win 7 now :)

I only knew that because I saw 2 one day and I'm like wut?
But yeah...2 threads..

The thread in General Discussion is for everything besides computer-related things. i.e. car parts, firearms, furniture, etc.

The normal thread is for computer related things. i.e. components, tablet, monitors, etc.

This little rig is powerful!

180 FPS with mods and no shaderpack
40-70 FPS with mods and a shaderpack!

Is Haswell that much better than Sandy Bridge?
I ask because sometimes my rig struggles in some worlds....

so your using the on die video? its got a bit more punch then i figured for that game, interesting.
