just a curious mind, thinking about jumpin in soon, and want to overtake the aussies.

one other thing I thought of that might be of help is why don't we start a folding trade center. I for one have a few old cpu's I'd be willing to give to someone for the price of shipping(p2's) if they'd go to folding, also I'm sure I have some old video cards, maybe even a few (dozen) mobo's, although those I'd hafta look through to find whats workable. just a thought

We tried that. Skip says all trading goes in classifieds.

can ya gimme a ghz number, like 50? would that do it?

We need 15,000 points per day. Thats a lot of GHz. But we can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well if u give me a number I can pull some strings, up to about 200 ghz I can do, beyond that I'd hafta call a few places to pull THAT much

but I know a few places that can install folding when they sell comps :p

go for it! :D

the exe for the service install is about 500kb(I think)
200 ghz of amd or intel? either way, that would go quite a ways towards the aussies, I think the number we need is 200 xp 2100s 24x7 (so 346 ghz)

well I know the network admins at school, 'n they don't care what I do, so it'd be all my schools p3's and p4's folding, which would be a nice number ^_^

We need something like 300-400 Ghz of pentium power to really put the boot up [H] and OCAU.

(100,000 ppw would be good. A 2GHz chip does about 350-500 ppw.)

But even 1 extra chip helps the cause.

well, why don't us kids ask around at school, the networkers, mine don't have an issue, thats some 150 p650's (although I doubt I can get to all of them) 60 p4's 2 ghz, 'n a few in between

If we borged approximately 100 PIV GHZ and 100 AXP/P3 GHZ all folding Gromax we could overtake the aussies

It'll be quite expenisve for us all but I have about 6.3 PIV GHZ and 2.2 P3 GHZ I can give if I have some more mobos and PSUs, maybe more if I can convince the guys in the intel demo lab to put those 3.06s they have to work that would add about an extra 20 GHZ if I can get all of that up and running I will probly outproduce Nik and Wedo on my own but that's not the point I could probly make a big dent in that, and I hope hawk some extra chips lying around like I do

MLMIB great idea!! That will make for a great increase in our team numbers.

Id start workin on my school but its a lil late in the year (less than a week left) but next year ill start. It would be useless now, 90% of the puters are off and moved into storage over the summer and they wouldnt do it right now and forget i said anything over the summer, but next year ill try to work on getting it going.

most my schools comps are left on over the summer, so I'm gunna install as much as I can, no more eating lunch for me ^_^

Ok, I'm producing about 500 points per day and I've got 15Ghz
of power.

If we need 15,000 more per day, that's about 30 more people
producing like me 24/7 or a total of 450Ghz.

200Ghz is a good start though...
