I am thinking about getting a p3 fc-pga but I am not sure to stick with the 440bx or the i815 chipset. I am also getting a geforce2 gts or pro and I will be overclocking

well, it depends...
they say that i440bx is faster than i815 .. i have an i815 and i think its the fastest chipset ever made .. if u get a piii 100fsb you will have to think about it .. if u get a piii 133fsb dont think it .. get i815 .. it will give to the AGP 88 MHz but GeForce 2 GTS goes at 110 .. if u want to overclock take an i815 .. i suggest ASUS CUSL2-C or MSI 815 Pro-R for its RAID ..

if I get 133 bus wouldn't meean I wouldn't be able to overclock the cpu as much?

would there be a reason to get an i815 when I don't really need to worry about thagp divider when the the geforce 2 can handle bus speeds in around 100

Before you pick a motherboard you should 1st pick the cpu you want then it will make getting the right motherboard without overkill easier for someone to give you good advice on.

well I am pretty sure I want p3. I am used to intel. i just want to see if someone will tell me something that could change my mind. Basically I am just trying to get updated with the latest stuff and get some more knowledge on the subject

I'm with the CUSL2-C idea. The i815 is a great chipset. I would've gone with this board had I not wanted a RAID setup.
