Its time I think to get a new game for my pc I was thinking about getting prince of persia 3. I may get 2 games or just one but anyone got any suggestions as to what I should get instead?

Lately, I've been playing some older games. I would recommend Beyond Good & Evil, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and Fable: The Lost Chapters.

The first two should be $20-$30 by now.

i have prince of persia sands of time, fear, utk4 and battlefield 2 and my friends gonna lend me quake 4 when he comes back from holiday

Fable I heard was too short and I have tons of time to fill sadly. I was going to get black and white 2 but people here at ocf said they got bored of it. I want a game that I can play for hours and never get bored so ill get pop 3 and something else not sure what the something else is yet :(

/me votes for half life 2. with the selver edition which can be bought over the internet, you get like 3 REALLY good games.

Half Life 2 for sure. Then if you need a bunch of time filled World of Warcraft perhaps? I hate it but everyone else seems to love it.... Morrowind is my vote second to HL2.

Half Life 2 - Single player will keep you entertained for maybe a week, depending on how fast you go through it. All the mods available for the game are where HL2 really shines though. CS:S, DoD:S, and other random ones like Dodgeball will keep you busy. Gary's mod will keep you entertained for hours as well.

Or maybe months depending on how fast you play it. I'd go in and play an hour or two after work a couple of days a week. It lasted me several months.
It would still be on my computer if I played it enough. The game is very good. But i got sick of the Steam updates.

Steam is something I learned to put up with. When you play a lot on it, the updates don't seem as frequent either. Also, I have never have had problems with steam. I don't know if you have or not, but I hope that didn't ruin it for you.

If you like MMO's, try Guild Wars.

I've been playing since July and it's pretty cool, you don't have to have an uber system/video card for it either.

Subspace / Continuum is a simple game that is surprisingly difficult if you can't pick up stratigic (spelling?) type thinking skills. Loads of bandwidth and system resource saving fun =)

No it didnt ruin the game. It was a great game. Just got sucked into WoW so when I reformated last time, I didnt reload HL2.

Any other cool games out there besides CS:S that use the HL2 engine?

I played the demo they just took the fun out of the game it used to be much more quick paced and while graphics may look really good im waiting for Rise of Legends that game seems to be awesome from what ive red(read)

Nearly everyone says Half-life 2 so maybe ill get that as well. So I'll get Pop3 cause its got a immerse single player and Half-life 2 cause of its replayability in mods/multiplayer etc.. and good single player.

And no way am I getting WOW, paying to play for a couple months isn't worth it.

I feel the same way about WoW. Also a warning about PoP 3. It has StarForce. See the thread in this section for a relative topic.
