My work computer is an old Gigabyte 7ZMMH socket A Mobo. Right now is has a Duron 900 in it with L1 64K and L2 64K (512 Ram). I'm running XP on it and some of the applications I have to run just murder it. I was looking around at some socket A's to see what I could do about it. The Mobo can support up to a 266 FSB so I'm limited to an Athlon XP 2600 and lower. What are some good prices on CPU's? This is coming out of my own pocket so I don't want to spend a whole lot, but I need this thing to run better then what it does. I was bidding on a 2200 but it ended at $32 + shipping, seemed a little high to me, is this reasonable?

Thanks

I payed £30 for my Barton 2500+ a few months back. But that was eBay and for some reason old CPUs still demand some money on eBay.

I'm sure you could get a nice deal in the classifieds.
