Well, I'm currently running Prime95 and it's going ok so far. But earlier, I had my comp running on Turbo (system below) with cas2.5 and Prime failed after the second test... less than a minute. The thing is, I didn't overclock my FSB or my multiplier. I thought Prime95 was strictly a CPU thing and is independent of my RAM, why does it fail at the turbo setting? My other question is (for those with an Epox 8k3a mobo) how do you guys get yourself into Turbo with cas2 stabily? Could it be the OS?

System:

Athlon XP 1800+
Thermalright AX-7 w/ Delta 80 mm 80 CFM (loud mofo!)
Epox 8K3A
256 KingMax PC2700
Windows 2000 Pro
Asus Geforce 3 Pure
SB Live! Value
30 GB Quantum 7200 RPM
4 x 80 mm case fans

Looks like running your RAM at turbo is lowering overall system stability. Perhaps the RAM is corrupting data - prime95 will be stored in RAM so it will be affected.

if he may decide to get a 512mb stick, what is the best type [manufacturer and pc####]?

Prime95 will stress your systems stability & if part of your basic system is a little off it will report an error.
