whats the name of the program you use to check temps

The program is Mother Board Monitor 5, and is available here.

Scroll down in the left pane, and you'll find the motherboard maker's listed. Click the appropriate link for your's, and you'll find a table that will help you assign the correct chip to the correct device to be monitored.
My KT7A-Raid cpu sensor is VIA686B-3 as an example. The program always installs the VIA686B-1 as the cpu for some reason.
