hi,
i have had this board for a while now and just recently i went over to a friends house to network my pc and with my old pc when i connected it up i would work straight away with a bit of fiddling, but now i can not even see his pc in my network window?
is it the gigabit lan?
if so is there some way to turn the gigabit lan back to normal lan?

thanks :D

The point is more bandwidth. Part of this protocol is auto sense so it will run at 100 meg or 10 meg. As long as you are running IP and you can ping loopback and gateway and perhaps yahoo.com u r ok.

Otherwise it is just a lan issue. Turn off all firewalls and make sure netbios is running. Then when it is working just bring the firewalls back in until you break it again. Then set up yr fw rules accordingly.
