So what is the difference between an analog lcd display and a digital one?

Is the picture cleaner? Faster refresh? Higher contrast? Better colour balance? What??

I'm trying to decide between dual Samsung 171N's or the digital 173N's.

Thanks
:D

I don't notice any difference, personally. People say it's crisper or whatever, but I've got one monitor running on VGA, one on DVI, and I honestly can't tell which is which. (They're sitting next to each other, duallie)

I'm doing the same thing (dual monitors that is) and I don't notice much of a difference either other than the fact that I can't get the colour balances of the two monitors to match exactly.

Got this from nVidia's site...

With NVIDIA's GPU support of DFPs through the GeForce2 and GeForce3 DVI interface, digital display users no longer have to compromise brilliant digital quality for the limited output of a VGA interface. DVI allows you to take full advantage of the superior image quality of digital displays.
