Just wondering if anyone knows when the new sound blaster card is coming out? I was thinking of getting sound blaster live platinum 5.1, but someone told me that a new one was coming out. Thanks for the info.

I think its gonna be called the Audigy or something like that. Saw a blurb on it somewhere on some site the other day.

yesterday i just installed a turtle beach santa cruz sound card. it's awsome and only 75.00. This company has been around for years making sound cards, midi cards, midi software etc. for the pro audio market. I think the quality is better than creative labs and has way more features for the money. All analog to digital converters are 20 bit (creative labs are 16) it supports 6 speakers, has joy stick/midi input, digital spdif external and internal. cd, tad and aux interal ins and outs. it has a dagheterboard riser for optional synthesizer, plus a riser for future upgrades and a mic input for condensor and dynamic mics with phantom powerand a headphone jack. also it comes with pretty cool software. it rocks!

I have the same card, I love it!

Also does MP3 decoding on board, though thats not a big deal like it used to be when processors were slower.

Secure content support? Sounds like fun.

I may be going the Santa Cruz route, I've also heard good things about Game Theater XP (Hercules). Or if I can get the money (and/or good deal), I might get a Digidesign card and have some real fun. ;D
