Where can I get an Abit SlotKet !!! ???

I've been looking all over, but can't seem to find them. I'm not to sure what category they fall into. I'd rather spend $200 on a socket than $280+ on a Slot-1.

You might want to re-think your choice of brands.... there's been a significant number of members here having problems with that Abit !!! slocket.

The usual complaint is instability over about 950MHz. A good number of people have also experienced this; replacing the Abit with another brand allowed them to overclock to a faster speed, with no other modifications. Just replacing the slocket...that's it.

I'm not trying to bash Abit....they make some of the best overclocking motherboards available, but I've noticed a lot of people having problems with this slocket.

I'd be more inclined to get one of these;

Soltek SL02A++
Iwill II
Asus II
MSI Master 2.0

I've got the Soltek, and can vouch for it's stability. I've had my C600 in it run up to 1053 MHz (1.05GHz), with no stability problems.

personalyl i think it isnt just abit slotkets overall, it really hints that their might be different revisions of it, however i wouldnt just go out gambling when you can get another one without issues. i got ine, didnt have a problem, wound up getting a second, didnt have aproblem, my friend got one, had problems, replaced it with an iwill, problems went away

welp, if it's one of the ones that didnt work, we warned ya, there's no sense in playing luck of the draw with one product when you can get another that performs consistently for the same cost

I agree with Major K, Abit slotket III r.83 sucks. I've got 2 Abit and an Iwill, with my Abit my CPU(cBo 700) temp reads like 71C idle@899, and With IWILL 29C @933. The IWILL is also alot more stable than the Abit.
