don't know what this is but i'm sure it's important:

would like to get the backplate:

don't know what the two things on the right hand side are but i'm sure i'd like to have them:

same question for the nf4-d:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowI...9 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

PS: for those in the know, would it in fact be cheaper to buy these things seperately with an oem mobo than the full retail package ($85.00 + $1 shipping + $8 tax + components vs $135.00 + $10 tax + $3.50 shipping at newegg)?

PSS: crossposted here for quicker replies (hopefully)

EDIT: links fixed

Those are audio outputs. It's weird the OEM version comes without them. Does it not have on-board audio?

That's just a Molex extender and 2 SATA cables.

I'd say if you want all that stuff (and the audio outputs missing from the OEM version would have me a bit worried) just buy the retail. If you don't need it get the OEM. I wouldn't get the OEM and then buy the other junk.

What is that black clamp looking thing?

You use it to pull the jumper blocks on the motherboard to switch between SLI & non-SLI. There are something like 6 blocks of 2pinx8 jumpers you need to move. It holds on to the sides of the plastic jumper blocks and pulls them off without bending or damaging the pins on the motherobard.

Sir the cost of individual pieces brings the total back to about retail. Those type refurbs are meant for folks with sounds cards and all the cabling that is required and not for user to try and build unit back to retail. Retail is by far the better deal if you want a retail-like setup. Thank you.

:eh?: i do have a sound card but i don't know if the 'soundstorm' may be better... this doesn't answer my question as to where i can buy the audio outputs or backplate...

NF4 boards dont have soundstorm. The only boards to ever have soundstorm where NF2s. I think that one uses the realtek ACL655, but dont quote me on it.
