I can't seem to find it anywhere (HomeDepot, Ace, etc. only have vinyl). I've got some 3/8" and 1/2" fittings, so I'd need that size tubing. TIA

I'm not exactly sure what your looking for, but I think you might find what you want at a pet/aquarium store. Are you looking for flexable tubing for watercooling? Hope that helps.

Yes, this will be for a watercooled system. I don't want to use vinyl, since I heard it tends to do strange things after time :(

I had another idea. Try a business that sell industrial hoses. Look in the Yellow pages. There is a place where I live called Amazon Hose and Hydrolics. I think they are a big world wide company. I've used them for elevator stuff. They have an incredible invintory of hoses. Just an idea.

Craigiz1 is right about the pet store. Silicone hose is used a lot in aquariums because it will hold up to a lot more than vinyl hose. With silicone hose you can push 3/8 hose over 1/2 barbs without fear of it ripping or leaking.:)

I'm a service tech with kitchen equipment and we use that silicone hose on steamers all day long. Any place that make hydraulic hose should be able to get it for you. I'll look in the Grainger catalog today for it.

Try usplastic.com . I bought mine there. I've heard mcmaster.com has it as well. You may want to look at tygon tubing. The type used for food preparation is reasonably priced and it doesn't absorb color like silicon according a recent thread here.

Okay, I'll look into that because getting the silicone tubing from cooltechnica would run me around $22 (10ft of 3/8" and 5ft of 1/2"), and that's not including shipping. :(

BTW since you are going to use silicone tubing, you possibly can only use 3/8" ID tubing if you want.
3/8"ID tubing fits over 1/2" OD without a problem.

Ive found that many things that are not at homedepot I can usually find at Lowes. I dont know if there is one located by you but there pretty big. There stores are also usually a little more organized then Home depot too.

I've never been to a Lowes before, but from what you've said I wish we had one around here. There isn't one in all of northern (or central for all that I know) Wisconsin...so I'm out of luck there. Would Menards carry it?

You guys might want to look throught the yellow pages sometime. There are probably dozens of local small shops the will sell the stuff for a fraction of what you can get it at home Depot, or Lowes. Just my $0.02.

directron is one and there a sponser of overclock.com and dangerden also sells it those are probly the cheapest place on the net I think the brand is Mc masters that is the top quality brand

McMaster-Carr

Order direct from them for like $1 a foot. I just ordered 10ft, now to find a better 120mm fan...

edit: btw, neither the Lowes or Home Depot near me carried silicone tubing, only vinyl...

What is the shipping like from mcmaster.com? A filled up my "cart" with several items but did not commit because it seemed like i would not see shipping costs until after i placed the order.

side note: I've been burned by such a system before... Allied Elec shipped each of three small items i ordered in a separate boxes and charged accordingly (plus a markup)... i will never order from them again- $24 for shipping that should have cost $6) ahh, good rant.

Shipping was like $3.00, regular UPS ground. Can't beat it!
