Right i need some help.

Basically i want to plug a internet connection sharer (firewall etc) into my internet connection and it has an internal ISDN card?? My problem is that years ago i bought an ISDN line extension which was about 5m long. Now ive moved my office location it dosnt reach. At present the isdn extension cable is actually beeing used in the network as a normal cat 5 cable it works fine???? but can i reverse this and use one of my long network cables of 10m cat 5 to plug into the phone line and will this work ??? please help me as i know nothing about wires! twisted pairs! etc lol lol. And before you say why not just move the pc closer to the isdn box well the answer is i use a monitor switch as the internet connection pc runs several differnant tasks as well as network rendering :)..

Please help im stuck!

I would say it's a pretty good bet it will, I don't have any experience with ISDN so I'm not sure, but there's no harm in trying.

Yes, both ethernet and ISDN use the same EIA/TIA 568B standard, cords are interchangeable. Look into the clear plug, and make sure the wiring pattern is the same for both ends by the wire colors....then you'll be fine.
