first question, GF 4 Ti4400 or 4600? and y. Is the 4600 really worth the extra $100. Seem there are more then 1 company that uses the GF chipset, who do i go with and y. My first GF card was made by ASUS. My friend has a GF3 made by Visiontek. with all the different companys with the GF chipset, how does one decide?

no not really, most of the ti4400s oc well past 4600 specs....

also Visiontek, ASUS, Abit, Leadtek are good...

That's a good list but I would scratch Visiontek and replace it with gainward.

funny how u would take visiontek out, but yet u own one. So it may appear whatever u want is good, just depends on how much u want to pay. I think ASUS is one of the higher dollar GFs along with ABIT. if im not mistaking Visiontek may be on the lower dollar area.

i agree though. Ditch the visiontek and get a GOLDEN SAMPLE. Unless price is an issue then get the visiontek because it is still a great card. But, if money isn't an issue then you will never regret having a gainward :D

Actually I find no humor in it at all. My dead visiontek sits idly in my closet while my Geforce 2mx400 grinds wishfully on. I just need to change sig. sorry. However I will buy an asus replacement when they are available I have the bucks set aside. I bought the visiontek on a whim, saw it, bought it. It was pushed on the market before it was ready. Missing software, missing S-video cable, no HS's on the ram, really cheesy HSF on the GPU. All this just to be first. If money is a problem then don't even think about a ti4600. But if you do buy one, look for the cooling features. Like copper HSF and ram sinks, superior manufaturing techniques and such.

Wait for the Ti4200.

Check out the FiringSquads review and you'll know why.

Ti4200, i havent had a chance to check that out. I'll do some research on it, but no matter what model i go with the question is which manufacture do i want. Money is not an issue but i dont want to waste it either. If i am really getting a good product for the money then ill spend the extra dollar, but if the price isnt worth the same upgrade then spend it else where. 1 person says gainward is the best. Any1 else think so?
