Which is the better chipset?

Ive heard the Ali Magik 1 is a good gaming chipset but is a little unstable

I have a ka-266-r mobo and it runs great with the Ali Magik 1 and I personaly dont think you would find a difference between the two unless you do some benchmarks

I will get my KG7-RAID tomorrow for sure this time. But I have no experience with either chipset yet. Here's my thinking though, what's better to run an AMD CPU on an AMD chipset? I think those would be the most compatable shipsets for AMD processors. That's just my thinking though.

I've heard only good stuff about the KG7 and it's AMD 761 chipset, except for the price, of course. :) (around $190)

The AMD 761 is considered without a doubt to be the most stable and fastest chipset available at this time. That may change with future chipsets like nForce or whatever else comes along but for now its AMD 761.

I was looking at the specs and the Abit KG7 doesn't seem all that much different/better than the Epox 8K7A. I guess we'll have to see after more people get one and some major sites review it.

When the Sis 735 comes out in a month it will beat everything and even the new kt266 chipset

I don't think you would notice a difference in real world testing! Benchmarks may show one faster then the other. But I doubt it would be noticible to you or I. Unless maybe you had Sdram in an A7A 266 and DDR ram in a KG7. Then you may notice a difference.
