I'd go w/ #3, to do 85Hz@1600x1200 resolution is a very good thing, it will be easy in your eyes, and the price is just right :) ..

KDS are very good, hard to go wrong there as they have very good image quality and a 3 year warranty. I don't know what sort of warranty you get on a refurb sony. Many people are fanatical about Sony's, but if you've seen as many monitors as I have you know KDS makes an unbelievably good product for the money. I am using a KDS VS195i right now, and I love it more so than any other set I've had. Monitors vary a great deal, especially if they are shipped UPS... Getting a good example of what you get is actually more important than which make or model. I've seen some really cheap sets that looked great (usually KDS, but others as well if you get a golden example), and really expensive monitors that looked like crap. Getting really good results requires as much luck as it does the selection of any one model of monitor.

add another

any more input or recommendations for other monitors? im thinking the x-flat one so far. i will be ording it today or tomorrow
...................thanks

I vote the same as Nut 581.... The 85 hz refresh rate will be better to you eye than a .24 to .22 dot pitch shrink... It wont get your eyes tired.... :)

The #4 is not a good option in my opinion becouse you wont use that extra resolution.... If it has a 85hz refresh rate at 1600x1200 and the price is not much bigger than you may consider it, but I thing the best Bang for the Buck is the KDS AV-195TF
