What P4 setup is the best for overclocking, meaning highest potential AND highest difference between stock/overclocked speeds?
By setup I mean-
Mobo
Chip
Cooling
Criterea-
Cost; mobo+chip = less than or equal to $700, and cooling must be equal to or less than $140
Cooling; it must be usuable by a TOTAL NEWBIE to computers, I don't know if you have to refill water cooling or anything but right there is a fine example as a nono. Maintnence = not newbie accessible!!
Overall potential of the setup; The best isn't simply the one that can overclock the highest (although it'd be ideal to get 3.6ghz easily) but the one that overclocks farthest from its original, stock speed. Also take into consideration that a newbie will be manning the helm while overclocking, and god knows he might screw up, so pick a setup that allows overclocking with the largest margin for error.
THX!!
(Note: P4 must have a stock speed greater than 1.8ghz)
