I friend of mine has this Abit BP 6 with a Celeron 366 running at 550. What other options are there for processors for this board to make a faster system??

Will a Celeron 900 fit in this??
Is there anything faster than a 366 that will wirk with this board?

Thanks for the help!

Eric

The BP6 without hardware modifications will only support ppga celerons. The 533 was the fastest one. I have built a few with the 533s and overclocked them to 600 (which is about as fast as a ppga core can run) with good performance.

Try http://www.bp6.com for more info.

You can run fcpga chips in them with a neo s370 adapter but only the newest p3's work in dual mode and only after some hefty mods, the new celerons don't work un dual mode, the 366 oc's to 550+ is the best option for this board I'm afraid

celeron heaven overclocking board!!!!!

Get a 566 in there on the cB0 stepping and watch her fly with ease - such an amazing chip. cB0's are not split plane voltage.

Oops - notice my references to a singular chip - only one will work.

On the case of the Neo socket convertor - not a proven product on release - certainly useful - but not a great solver of problems. Very pretty flashing lites on it though
