My own personal HELL!
So I just bought myself one of these little suckers yesterday, and I have to say I love this thing so far!

See, I purchased the original Game Boy Advance, the flat one with the non-backlit screen and hated it. I couldn't see anything on the screen! For the last few years (yes, I mean years), I've been stuck on the second to last level of Super Mario World, and could not for the life of me find the next area to go to in Castlevania: Curse of the Moon.

I only ended up buying a few games for the GBA since I hated the screen so much. It was a pretty big disappointment; then when the GBA SP came out I couldn't bring myself to spend another $100 for what the GBA should have been the first time.

Anyway, I finally broke down and bought the DS, partly so I could play the games I already had with a good screen, and partly because the touch screen intrigued me. So far, I haven't been disappointed.

It's funny, the first time I popped in Super Mario World, I immediately completed the level I'd been stuck on for so long, and then later on found a completely new area in Castlevania :) It's amazing what a good screen can do for a game.

I just bought Mario 64 DS today and am having a great time. I really want to unlock more games for the Rec Room, since those are great bathroom time killers.

So who has a DS, and what do you think of it? Also, what games do you guys recommend? I'd like a good racing game, not sure which one to pick up. I also would like to pick up some of the GBA games that I never bought, like FF Tactics, and FF I + II. I think I'll have to wait until next payday though. . .

i love my ds, but ive had it less than 3 months, and the top screen is all screwy. :( and i dont think walmart will take it back now. i think i have to send it back to nintendo... oh well best hand held....ever.

I've got one, love it. Playing though Mario 64, and it's good fun. The mini games are a nice diversion too. I can't wait for more games to come out though.

I have one, but I should have waited. The lack of games is driving me crazy. And all this talk about Nintendo Revolution has me worried that game development is going to be very slow this year.

I'm patiently waiting for Mario Kart DS to be released here and hoipefully, the wi-fi connectability will be avaiable by that time. Until then, there really isn't much for this system. It appears that the novelty is running out.

getting mine tomorrow. Only released in the UK yesterday, and Ive been ill so couldnt get one on day of release

I bought one the day it came out, got Mario 64 and racked up a good collection of mini-games! I got bored of that within a few weeks(except for the mini-games), so I picked up Final Fantasy 1&2 which are pretty sweet-I got the airship in FF1 but then parked it and never found it again. Then I went and got Zelda: The Minish Cap and played through that for about a week. AWESOME game. Right now I'm thinking about getting Warioware, but I'm also disappointed at the amount of good games available.

Waiting for new Mariokart and Castlevania DS to be released.

We sell the DS at work. We had a queue outside the shop at 9am yesterday (launch day).

Not one person bought a DS - although we sold one today.

They look cool but I cant afford £110.

Man we had the Ds in stock and they all sold out, but we keep one around at work on Display and i was disappointed the screens are bad, like really bad TFT screens and nothing to protect them, the design looks older then a NES and the screens are WAY TO SMALL like advance screens :( i mean like the ds anit small so why are the screens so small? and they are glarey? i mean nintendo have an great machine and games but the design was rushed!

My friend got one with Super Mario 64 recently and he likes it. He hasn't really said anything about the quality of the screens or the touchpad function but he sure plays it a lot.
