My flatmate was looking around for the software so he could start up with team 32 again and he found it. Thought it looked a bit dodgy and mentioned it. He's got the right one now;)
 
I emailed them to find out who they were and if Stanford was aware they were around. Maybe they'll actually answer me.

The Foldtraj screensaver is part of the Distributed Folding Project, an
experiment in distributed computing through the internet to help solve the
Protein Folding Problem, one of the computationally intensive problems facing
scientists of the 21st century.
 
They're listed on Statsman, and have been for quite some time, so I think they're legitimate although unassociated with the Stanford project to my knowledge. Have no idea what they do though..
