Why are mico atx so cheap?

I was looking around and most micro atx mobos dont sell for more then 100$ and the case sell for like 28$ and still look great! Is it because its harder too cool down or something? or is it just because theres no intrest.

Because they're a lot smaller than regular mobos they can be made for less and they generally don't have very many extras (like SATA or FireWire) and, like you said, there is generally little interest in the computer building community for mATX mobos.

Actually a lot of these cases\boards do support SATA and FireWire. No interest? Look at the Shuttle XPC's and how popular they've become. :-/

true but shuttels leave moding space, and allow liquid cooling but micro atx on the other hand are so small the pump probably couldent fit with all the stuff already in it. although they compensate with 60 x 60 mm fans that do 4000 rpm as case fans, the case i posted has 3 in back, if you were to mod that all youd need to do is add a whole add a fan and duct the fan to the cpu and you would probably already be droping the heat :attn: of course you could fit something like this beside it

but thats up to the builder.

and they dont require that much power wich is great. Im sure you might not be able to fit in more then 1 hard drive but you could awlays slip in an extra 80 gig usb hard drive and stuck it in there although usb hard drives are pricy you can do that...

got to start getting funds again

overall micro atx has gain any popularity due to the fact that its a lack of advertisement and i believe people have more faith in things a little larger (yes ! people are affraid of playing with small components)
