Why cant i download this entire file from ASUS?

Hello all..
Someone please help so i know that im not going completely crazy....

I just got a new M4A78T-E motherboard from Asus

I went to their website http://support.asus.com/download
I choose

Motherboard
Socket-AM3 (Be careful and DO NOT choose SISOCKET-AM3)
M4A78T-E
WinXP

Then i go to chipset and try to download the 300 meg
AMD Chipset Program Driver WHQL V5.10.1000.8 (Package Version 8.561) for Windows 32/64bit XP.

If i choose Global i get 10 kilobytes/sec and it craps out around 30 meg

If i choose China i get 50 Kilobytes/sec and it craps out around 180 megs

Ive done this multiple times multiple days and the results are the same and i can not download the entire drivers....

If i try to open the 180 meg file i get unexpected end of archive error...


Someone Please help me im about to return a perfectly good motherboard because i cant download drivers that is pretty stupid...

Why not just get Catalyst straight from AMD?

I already downloaded the Catalyst 9.12 44 meg file for my radeon 5850HD

I am looking for the chipset drivers for my motherboard.... like the Northbridge/southbridge/usb driver stuff

Try clicking the link I just posted, and note the description: "ATI Catalyst™ 9.12 Display Driver for Windows XP Professional/Home Edition - Motherboard/IGP Drivers"

Also, on game.amd.com drivers page is a link with "motherboard" in the name.

On this page is even a direct link to an individual driver just for the SB.

Ok let me get this straight...
I thought you have to download Catalyst Drivers for your video card

And some other sort of driver for your motherboard/chipset..

are you telling me that all i need is the catalyst drivers and it will install all my videocard AND motherboard drivers?

Are you sure of this?
