hears my lis o' problems:
1) when playing music/movies, anything that has audio it will skip with a loud electronic noise
2)when playing music, it will sometimes after a long time just die. only dies when playing music not anything else. but it completely dies, forcing me to restart.
3) starting sound diagnostic utility or creative playcenter causes immediate system freeze, and then i have to restart.
4)reinstalling, it freezes so i never have been able to
i have win2k now, all this happend back when i had xp installed so i dont think its the os. none of this happend when i had my live
system specs:
256mb micron pc2100 ram
abit kg7 raid
asusv7700
wintvgo
generic lan card
generic software modem
2 40 gig seagates
cdrom
cdrw
dvd
400w allied brand psu
i doubt the brands/speeds has anything to do with the prob, but ill post if asked. i really dont want to lose that firewire port(i dont have any devices for it yet, but ...), i do notice a diff in sound quality between it and the live. so if anyone could help?
