Why is my Radeon ddr card running in 2X mode with no fast writes?

I have a Radeon 32mb ddr card with a mobo that supports both 4XAGP and fast writes. I have them both enabled in the bios, but any program that I run tells them that the card currently has them runing at 2X and fast writes disabled. Sandra tells me this, so does 3DMark 2001 se, as well as power strip. Now the reason that I bought this card in the first place is that it was advertised to have these features. Can anyone tell me how to get them working on the card? Or did I just get screwed and end up with a low end card that has these permanently disabled?

well did you try skinny writes? (sorry just had to do that):p

well try using Radeon Tweaker to enable 4X compatibility and Fast Writes for your particular mobo....

also it doesnt really matter ive found (and ive tested this out) as have other people the 2x-4X AGP will gain you at the most 20 3dmarks and Fast Writes gains you zero and causes instability....so be happy:p

lol, I tried to edit that, but it didnt change the thread name lol. I tried using power strip to change the write speed, but alls that did was lock up my comp instantly. Guess thats why it warns you like 3 different times before it actually does it lol. What I want to know is why they advertise on the freaking box for these cards that they are 4X AGP and Fast Writes capable, when in fact they dont utilize it? My Geforce 2 MX-200 did the same thing!!!

for the same reason AMD marketed "200mhz fsb" before DDR Ram came out...as P Diddy put it "It's all about the Benjamins"
