Why is this 1080 $100+ less than others?

Is it because of the brand? I rather like zotac (even if their name sounds like an off brand of viagra) in fact both my old GTX 670 4GBs are from them and they performed flawlessly when I was using them for ~3-4 years iirc?

What's the reason this specific 1080 is so much cheaper if not for the brand?

The card you are looking at lists for $609, they also have a Zotac that lists for $689. Select compare on both and see what is different.

If you don't want to, here is are some of the differences.

1683 Mhz vs 1771 Mhz
Memory clock 10Ghz vs 10.8Ghz
Dual fan vs triple fan.
220 watts vs 270 watts.

I mean I figured there were some spec differences but really? Those meager differences are worth over $100? Did not believe it. Wow. The more you know I suppose. Hell, Maybe they're crappy chips (the opposite of binned, I forget what the term is)

The other diff twixt the Egg price and the Amazon listing is at the Egg it's in stock now...Amazon stock Dec 19

Sort of a pre-sales discount I would imagine....
