Why the different audigys?

Is there a difference between the different versions of the Audigy(w/1394, X-Gamer, MP3+)? They look exactly the same, even down to the positioning of the capacitors! Are they all the same, and just labelled diffferently?

Only thing diff is the software bundle. Besides the Plat or the Plat ex which come with either a live drive or a break out box.
