Why won&#39t my P3-550e/IWill Slocket combo run in my Asus P2B MB?

I have updated my version 1.02 Asus P2B MB to the latest version BIOS - 1012. I thought that the IWill slocket would allow a P3e to work in older BX MBs. This P3/IWill slocket combo works fine in both of my newer MBs. Using the same jumber settings on the IWill, it will not even boot on the Asus P2B. I am running the P3e at Spec speed (550MHz)and core voltage (1.65v). My P2B is very stable running a Celeron 466. Any ideas anyone?

hey whats up, i know what your problem is , you have to switch the voltage on the socket to 1.8 or 1.9 because asus p2b wont reconize any cpu uner 1.65 volts, i had the same prob

1.8v is a 9% increase and 1.9v is a whopping 15% increase above Spec voltage. Seems a bit risky since I have MBs that I can install it in that do work. Thanks for your suggestion though.
