okay everyone, i need your opinion on something, which wifi access point is the best, i need it to connect my laptop to my home network.

thanks for your help in advance

Well it depends if you want the router/wap or just the wap. I like the linksys wap11 and d-link. I saw a cisco one in use and it's ranged was pretty crappy, although I don't remember what model it was, so it could have been old. They all seam to be just a board with a wireless card in them. The apple airports look slick, but in my opinion cost too much. I like the ones with antennas on the back, then you can replace them with your own larger ones.

Actually you may not need a AP. You can have any number
of computers on your home network communicating with
each other in "Ad Hoc" mode where there is no AP.
