Nice upgrade. Not at all surprised though as I saw the same thing if not better when I went to and HDTV and used RCA compared to component. One I could barely read text and the other it was crystal clear.

Tenchi that didn't make much sense RCA is the type of plug which is on component and composite cables...I assume you meant component vs. composite cables. Yes it does make quite the difference especially since it will switch to 480p.

Gamespot did a comparsions as well.

I'm gonna have to get a component cable when they're available. Anyone know of a good but not outrageous component system selector?..I have 2 inputs on my TV for component and my xbox and DVD player are in both...I suppose I could hold out for a cable that will work on my DVI but....I want to keep that open for my 360 whenever I get one.

There is a really cool one that is made to match the 360 colour scheme and it is actually wireless too (ethernet 54g) for like $50-$60. I can't remember the name of it but I saw it at Game Krazy and THINK it's made by NYKO.

Or there's this on the cheap:

Yeah sorry, it's a bad habit I picked up on from a friend a couple years back and I still find myself often calling composite RCA even though RCA is used in component also.

just so long as it's not too cheap that I lose quality....I know it's best to avoid anytime the signal crosses a plug...ie. devices between source and TV input.
