1.0 T-bird @1498 Ran great for about 8 hours. Temp 29C- at idle. Now when I try to boot it loads my G-force but just sits as it starts to load BIOS. Won't respond to Del key to enter bios. Using stock BIOS. anyone have a clue?

Does this mobo have a jumper for the 100/133 FSB setting? Which multiplier and FSB did you adjust? Does it boot up after clearing the CMOS?

13X multi. 115 FSB. Yes has jumper.133 setting. If I let it sit for 10 mins or more it boots, but sometimes hangs coming out of BIOS when making adjustments. Once it loads W2K all is well.

By the way, a TB 1000 running at 1498 is the ultimate overclockers dream! A 49,8 % overclock!!!!
Personally I think it is just a bit too much overclocked. It cannot handle this speed stable at startup. I asked about the multiplier/FSB setting because I had an experience with my previous MSI K7T Turbo board. It had a 100/133 FSB jumper as well. When I switched it to the 133 mode and adjusted a multiplier (BIOS) of 11 it ran well. If I rebooted or restarted, the Board red the multiplier microcode of the cpu (TB 1200/100) first before taking the BIOS mp value, indicating 12x and tried to start at 12 x 133= 1596 and the screen went black!

I just heard from Ed, he suggests I may be to aggressive with my memory settings. Naturally I'll try backing off on this setting first, if sill have the problem I'll (Gulp!) back off the FSB. Think of anything else please let me know. I'll post back in a bit.

I have a very similiar problem. I recently RMA'd my Iwill KK266 cuz it wouldn't boot at all. I tried to play with the jumpers, checked all connections and ribbons, and made sure the heatsink was seated properly. All my fans would run, but that's about it.

So I just received the new board yesterday and hooked it all up. First try I get the bios. Upon reboot, nothing. Then, I decided to take out my NIC and SBLive out. When I did this, it booted into Windows (98). However, I got the blue screen. After hitting Enter, it was ok. I wanted to make sure everything was ok so I shut down, turned on for a while. Well, it didn't boot about 4 times out of 10 unless I hit the Reset switch. What the hell is going on? I didn't have this problem the first 3 months I had the first board.

FYI - I was running my 1gig Axia @ 155x9 (1.75V)

I tried setting my RAM to Normal. This 'seems' to have done the trick. Swiftech water cooling. 1495 (1498) @ 29 C-. But nothing can be said for sure yet.

what are the chips on the ram?? is it good ram? cas2 133? I am glad the problem is solved but are your memory scores suffering?

Crucial 133 2-2-2 Don't know having trouble setting up W2K. This is only my second go around and it's been months since I've done this. Keep losing my CD and zip drive. Bios sees them but not 2000. Starting over with install.

Set RAM up one notch to (Enhanced) Memory seems decent. ALU 495, FPU 540.

Haven't put her under load, having trouble with my network. But that's tomorrow's worry":O}

That is kinda weird. I would flash your bios to 042601. I had problems with the newest. The original worked fine but I had to mess with it. Are you raiding your drives? I would try without the zip at first and see if the install still can't see the cdrom.

Well..... not so weird, just lazy, I restore my setup from a backup on a BX board LOL. Reinstalled a fresh 2000 and all is well!":O}

Enabled 4X interleave and put Ram settings to 6-2-2-2 New RAM scores on Sisoft Sandra

1. ALU 549
2. FPU 704

Once I figure out my Router woes I'll post some pics.
Thanks for all you help guys, you got me through a sleepless night. Still playing with this board, very sweet!

It was my netgear nic, it couldn't take the 115 FSB. I'm at 113 now. 1.0 @ 1456, I can live with that, for now":O}
