I need to run a cheap video card for about a week and my motherboard is a 4X / 8X 1.5v. Will a TNT2 (AGP) card work? Thanks

Edit:
I think I just found my answer from nVidia's site for the TNT2.

"AGP 4X/2X and AGP Texturing Support
Takes advantage of new methods of transferring information more efficiently, and allows content developers to use high-quality, 32-bit color textures and high-polygon-count scenes."

I had a reg. TNT in a 4x so ya.

Thanks. Do you think I would have much of a problem running it in my Windows XP system? I read an old article about the TNT or TNT2 that said people used to have a hard time with getting them to run properly. So this has made me wonder whether I should go with a cheap ATI Rage card instead.

I ran a TNT2 under XP for a bit a few years ago and didn't have problems, so the issue isn't universal.

Just remember, don't put a 2x in a 4x/8x AGP slot or you may kill something.
I've ran a TNT2 on XP once, it didn't do much(could not get any hadware 3D done, DIrectDraw did not work with many things because of the primitive drivers, but it worked...

I've also had an ATi Rage and it worked prefectly in XP and Linux so you'll likely have better luck with it, it could actually run DirectX(6?)/DirectDraw, OpenGL apps of ages ago worked too.
I think I used Omega and Flrgx... or whatever the linux drivers are called... too lazy to find out...

I loved my TNT2 card. It was pretty fast when it came out. I OC'd mine a few mhz too, and added a HSF. Seriously, I wish I could get in a time machine, go back 7 years, and give myself a video showing what I'd be enjoying today. Times have changed so much.

Anyway, back on topic, I think I still have my TNT2, and some other really nice older gfx cards. I think I might build a 98 gaming rig so I can play all my older games without any issues.

aren't the older 4x AGP cards rated for a 3.3V AGP Bus?

If so it might be dangerous to put it into the 1.5V slot.
