Will an inline resistor on the 3 pin or 4 pin adapter help?? Please read!
This is a repost because I got no answers on my other posting.
Hi guys,
I just did the delta 7V mod and noticed that I cpould no longer monitor my rpm. Do you know why and how to change that. I did supply the fan with 7V by just moving the ground cable in the 3 to 4 pin adapter to the 5V postion as described in other articles, but now rpm monitring is gone. I know that monitoring rpm at 7V or 5V is possible because I saw a cooling store selling 3pin to 4 pin adapters featuring rpm monitoring at that voltage. BTW I monitored the fan rpm by seperating the rpm cable (from the two other that were conntected to a 3 to 4pin adapter and then directly to the PSU). That worked fine at 12V.
Please help!!
