That sums it up. I crunched NB on the Asus while I was setting up dual loops. Now I'm on some crappy FIC thing. On a side note should I go for the Max3 or get another P4c800-E DLX?

Yes it fits no problem, have one running now. As for the second question, well, too subjective for me to give an answer but I do like mine :D

I've read it's a roll of the dice on them and that yours was working out. Thanks Nik.

I dunno cypher, I've got an IC7-G and a Max 3. With all the problems I've had, I would definately rather have an Asus P4C800-E DLX.

By the way, the IC7-G shows to be more stable than my Max3.

Can you be more specific? I'm planning on getting a P4P800 and I thought for a moment about the Max3.

Mainly Vdimm issues, some other little things, all basically revolved around stability or lack of.

It is a tough call. The varied results I've seen on the Max3 indicate a QC issue of some sort. The net is filled with mixed reviews from board owners. I do like the 4 phase power on them though. Perhaps I'll just grab another Asus and be done with it.

I just talked with a friend, we both agreed that the P4P800 will be my best choice, due to the lack of cash.

My max 3 seems coo, except for the vdimm issue. You could get the board rma'd with the fix. I had a p4c800-e also and it had vcore problems. IMO, but are pretty good boards, just the MAX3 you have to mess with more to get the best results.
