Will reinforced PVC tubing make my system leak someday?

Is Silicone better than Polyurethane and Tygon?

I work with that stuff all day long on steamers(cooking equipment). That stuff leaks like siv!I have to constantly tighten clamps every few months, granted the steamers produce tons of heat and run water pressure of 80+psi but still they leak. I got 1/2 silicone tubing at www.cooltechnica.com. They have 3/8 as well. Only $1.50 per foot! Get some and dont worry.
