Hey,
I got a game (Magic the Gathering) that was designed for 95 but works on 98 ok, the problem is it wont run on XP even if I set the compatability mode to Windows 95. I get an error that says I have to tell microsoft about this program not runing right but eventually it says that it detecs XP and cant run. Is there something I can do to hide XP from this program?

Thanks in advance

first off, set your INSTALL .exe program to compatability with 98 before you install...then set the program .exe to compatability with 98 after you install...see if that works

hey will u try this?
it is the application compatability program from 2k's support file
im just wondering if it would work in xp?

i dont think it will work at all, xp pro is a NT OS and is there is probably no support for that with the game u are talking about. xp has some problems running a bit of older software for this reason.

yes, a few, I think the best is VMware, they have a trial, it is ram intensive, but once loaded into ram is fast and good, not the best graphics, but by win 95 era just great

its cool too, you get a bios screen and then load win 95 into it, once loaded you just fire it up and select win 95, then install your programs to install into 95, then run them

run linux, whatever from windows, they also have a linux version, i use it for beta testing

agrees

i think cjlax5 is right i have alot of programs that are not compatible with xp, such as adobe livemotion, clickradio, spinner, and a few games if it was for 95 check for updates or patches that may help but i doubt it.
