running win xp for 3 months no problems so far,but just one hour ago computer freezes on me . try to restart but win xp wont start i just get a blue error screen saying " unmountable boot volume".i tryd to start in safe mode and also tryd "last stable
configuratin setup (or something like that) but nothing helped. whats going on here? please help

thanks in advance

Unmountable means your computer cannot access the disk
boot volume is the disk on which XP is installed.

Looks like the drive is corrupted, or at least the boot sector is. Boot off of a floppy and try and access the windows drive. If it doesn't work then your hard disk has died or you mucked up the windows install. Have you installed/changed anything?

PW, is just saying you should run a full sandisk, then full format, and reinstall.
if you get the errors again, looks like u need to rma the drive or buy a new one.
