WIN XP PRO 256or512 ???

so what the consensus is it worth another 90 dollars of ram will I see any improvement. HEAVY Gaming and light PHOTOSHOP and HTML editing usage. and surfing of course. the sig is not up to date so ignore it.

I would say go for it. Get it now and you are sorted - 512MB now will work out to be cheaper than 256MB now and 256MB later - when prices have steadily risen. You will notice some benefit - XP Pro is memory hungry. I find 384MB is the minimum for decent performance - ie no swapping.

WinXP likes to eat RAM. Get as much as you can possibly afford.

I run 256....but I wish I had 512! I had another 128 stick in here, but it didn't o/c well, so I took it out, and I feel the difference a little. I have most of the visuals cut off, and have tweaked my start-up regimine...but you will love XP with 512, IMHO
