If I'm right, then it's the corrected update, as the first release was causing various problems (I could mix something up). Either way, if you aren't sure, then wait some time.

All of the machines in my house have been updated for a while now to some form of 23H2 (its been out for several months). No issues here.

Typically I delay updates for 5 weeks (most it lets you out of the box) and install updates. Works well for me. I think the last time I updated was ~3 weeks ago.

So, wait for MS to get the bugs out is what you are saying.

Maybe I was thinking about the next update, which was postponed because of various issues. I have had the 23H2 for some time on my work laptop (I just checked what I have), and the same version is on my home PC and test rigs (updated a while ago). So, I can only confirm that the 23H2 is fine.

@Flamethrower1972,
The general rule is to wait at least 3-4 weeks, and if you don't see it was removed from the updates list, then it should be fine.

My favorite update from this year was the one that was bricking HP laptops :D

Ok thank you for that info.:)
Post magically merged:

Ok thank you for that info.:) I have version 21H2.

I have version 21H2.
lol, how? Windows forces updates on you... weird.

Anyway, 23H2 has been released publicly since February (the Insider's channel was launched in late 2023). It's well past the customary 'wait to work out the bugs' stage.

EDIT: I just checked... my '5 weeks' is July 4th. I see an W11 23H2 UPDATE (KB5039212) that I'll install. But yeah, there shouldn't be any worries for 23H2 or any of its updates at this time.

I assume Win11 still has the registry hack you can do to permanently disable automatic updates. I’d not looked.
Indeed. I use it for review OSs and prevent the update service from starting.

I dont mind updates for my daily driver, but don't want them as they roll out. At least with delaying 5 weeks, there's an absolute point to roll back if things go wrong.
