Would it be better to just run 3 gig of ram than 6 on 32 bit Win7 for benching?

For benching I think I'd go with 2gb or 4gb assuming it'sDDR2Dual-Channel. If you're runningDDR3Tri-Channel, then I'd use 3gb.
**Fixed...
You can have DDR3 in dual channel, single channel, or tri-channel. DDR2 can be single channel or dual channel. That's why he corrected you.
+1Less dense 1GB sticks can usually overclock further on the same given voltage than their denser 2GB counterparts. At least that's how it was with DDR2. I haven't seen (or looked for) enough comparisons between the two to say it applies to DDR3, but it still seems to be a reasonable premise.
Fixed.I reserve the right to completely reverse my position when forum wars comes around. For forum wars, you want to run 6x4G sticks for maximum overclocking stability!
